I’M ONLY HERE BECAUSE I’M TOO STUBBORN TO GIVE UP
My name is LaTisha Styles and over the last 3 years I’ve made it my mission to help my clients package their unique skills and offer them in successful online coaching businesses. Using my strategies, clients were able to get results anywhere from making their first $1,000 per month consistently, to generating over $102,000 with just one of my “introvert-friendly” sales systems.
I’ve turned my UNIQUE skills into a full time coaching business that allows me to work from home and anywhere that I have an internet connection.
I always wanted this.
The ability to create everyday. The ability to choose my working hours. The freedom to travel when I wanted and the money to make it all happen.
This laptop lifestyle is certainly a bit lavish, but it almost didn’t happen.
I’ve failed so many times.
I’m only here because
I’m too stubborn to give up.
I started my entrepreneurial journey 12 years ago.
I joined a multi-level marketing opportunity expecting to generate an extra $500 a month. Not only did I not make that, but by the end, the only thing I had to show for my efforts was the case of products I purchased to start the business.
I then decided to put my efforts towards a career in finance because I knew I could make good money and potentially become a CEO doing that. When I graduated college and was just about to enter the workforce, the country entered the worst recession since the Great Depression.
It took me 11 months to find a job. While I waited, sending resumes each day, I started a blog. Even when I finally got a job, I kept up the blog because I figured this would be my entrepreneurial success story.
And it was.
It was my first taste of doing what I wanted. I was teaching the basics of personal finance through articles and videos and I imagined making as much money as I desired.
Over the next 4 years I grew my blog from nothing…to covering monthly rent in my brand new apartment…to eventually paying off over $32,000 of debt.
The majority of the blog’s income came from placing ads for Fortune 500 companies.
Everything seemed to be working great.
I even met the love of my life.
I decided to take the leap,
quit my job and move to Memphis
with my then-fiancé.
My mom was bugging out…
My coworkers didn’t expect it to work…
…and I was scared because I had made such a drastic decision.
Instead of transferring to another job, I decided to pursue my dream of full-time entrepreneurship.
In the back of my mind I even thought I was crazy to do something like this. To leave a stable job, move to another state, and pursue the dream of a full-time income from my business.
After a few months, several of those Fortune 500 companies started to cancel their programs and the blog’s income was drastically reduced.
I desperately tried create a new source of income, but when nothing seemed to work, my husband came to me.
“Honey, it’s time for you to get a job.”
My husband has always been my biggest supporter—but he’s a realist at the same time and saw the writing on the wall even when I wanted to avoid it.
Because I was dependent on one single stream of income, I had failed to achieve my dream of full-time entrepreneurship. Again.
Three days in a row, I cried in the car on my morning commute.
I drove an hour each way transferring 3 different expressways to make it to the other side of the city.
It was the nightmare I had always dreaded:
A tiny cubicle, each and every hour micro-managed doing repetitive mind-numbing tasks.
I could feel the restrictions closing in…
The redundant tasks and monotonous steps that left no room for creativity.
But I’m too stubborn to give up. I knew that I could
create a successful business.
After those first 3 days, when I was all cried out, I felt a new motivation.
I had already tasted the freedom of entrepreneurship and I couldn’t fathom being in that cubicle forever.
I asked myself, what am I good at?
Suddenly I had an answer. I had a unique skill that until that moment I wasn’t offering.
I knew how to build an audience, drive traffic, market myself and my content, and engage via social media.
All that time I spent learning digital marketing so I could build up my own blog, and I had never thought to offer those skills to clients of my own.
I reached out to a friend who had just started a business and booked my first client.
I continued to book clients
and in just 3 months
I replaced the income from my job.
As I continued to get more clear on my unique skills I realized that not only do I have strong skills in teaching but it’s what I truly love to do.
That very first year I made $65,000 from coaching and consulting.
At that moment I was glad that I didn’t give up.
Now I have the pleasure of helping
emerging entrepreneurs who are determined, just like I was,
to have their very own version of success.
I help them market their coaching business online so they can gain clients doing what they love.
I’ve been told that it’s a luxury to do what you enjoy AND make money from it at the same time.
And maybe it is.
But wouldn’t you like a little more luxury in your life?
What would you do if you believed that you could do what you love every single day?
How would that change your life?
I want you to feel that same luxury.
I want you to wake up every day knowing that you’re operating in your passion, sharing the UNIQUE message that you’re meant to share, AND getting paid more than enough for it all.
But are you stubborn enough to keep going?
